
Erection problems
An erection problem is the inability to get or maintain an erection that is firm enough for a man to have satisfactory intercourse. Erection problems include unable to get an erection at all or losing the erection during intercourse. The medical term of the condition is erectile dysfunction.
Erection problems can be devastating for man. We all depend on sex
for our pleasure, no matter what if you have erectile dysfunction you
are going nowhere. It takes patience and action for a cure. Erection
problems are common in adult men. In fact, almost all men experience
occasional difficulty getting or maintaining an erection. There
are numerous causes for erection problems. Each man is different
physically and psychologically thus different reasons for a dysfunction
can occur.
Penis health is of course related to general health, common sense.
Although there can be some serious reasons behind, most of the reasons
of an erection problem is general and can be treated easily.
In many cases, it is a temporary condition that will go away with
little or no treatment. In other cases, it can be an ongoing problem
that can damage a man's self esteem and harm his relationship with his

- Medications such as blood pressure medications (especially beta-blockers), heart medications (such as digoxin), some peptic ulcer medications, sleeping pills, and antidepressants.
- Smoking cigarettes restrict blood flow to major veins and arteries including those to the penis. It is commonly known that smoking can lead to impotence and erection problems.
- Nerve damage from prostate surgery.
- Poor communication with your partner.
- Fear of sex. Constant psychological over activity. Psychological drugs can cause erectile dysfunction.
- Men with weight problems are much more likely to experience trouble getting erections than men at healthy body weights.
- Stress, fear, anxiety, or anger.
- Unrealistic sexual expectations, which make sex a task rather than a pleasure.
- Nerve and spinal chord damage.
- Drugs can cause erectile dysfunction.
Erection problems tend to become more common as you age, symptoms increase too.
For many men, Changing the life style can help:
- Relax and get some rest.
- Stop smoking, alcohol and illegal drugs.
- Eat healthy, take fruits and vegetables, maintain a healthy diet.
- Have confidence in you. Perhaps seeing a doctor will help.
- Talk openly to your partner about sex and your relationship. If you are unable to do this, counseling can help.
